Hard Edge History

Hard Edge Design began in 1991 using a press made from 2x4's, plywood, and an old swivel chair. The founders, Jeff and Lisa, worked out of a 120 square foot barn with only a few screens and lots of determination.  From humble beginnings, their hard work grew Hard Edge and won the confidence of national organizations and Fortune 500 Companies alike.  Hard Edge has earned National and International recognition by winning prestigious industry competitions and awards such as the FastFilms International Screenprinting Competition and the Impressions People’s Choice Award.

After Jeff passed away, Hard Edge Design was bought by another Norman Family Owned Business, Nom de Plume, who have worked to continue the legacy of excellence Hard Edge strove for.

Hard Edge Today

We at Hard Edge Design aim to be the best in the industry.  We have paired experienced staff with the most advanced technology in garment decoration to give our customers the best quality possible.  In 2015 we invested in a top of the line Direct to Garment printer, the latest technology in the garment decorating industry.  Our Brother printer enables us to offer photographic quality prints in unlimited colors with no minimums.  It also eliminates the cost of separations, films, or screens necessary for conventional screenprinting, making small order runs affordable.

Our latest embroidery addition to the shop is a custom built 4-head embroidery machine with a head select feature, only the third of its kind to be installed in an American shop.  We also employ 6 networked single head machines to give us the flexibility to output personalized garments without sacrificing the speed to handle large orders.  Our focus on technology advancements in our industry lets us offer capabilities other shops can't, such as sequins, cording, hot air cutting, and embroidery by the yard.
